"It has been two years into my reverse mortgage. I recall when my grandson Kendall called me on my cell, to ask me in 2007 to come attend your seminar at his place of employment. I just walked in off the street and listened.

I had attended 3 other reverse mortgage seminars prior to yours. I was impressed with your personality and the way you answered questions. I asked for an appointment at my home. I had the opportunity to ask my questions that made me understand this major decision.

I then talked with my three grown children at the same time in my home and discussed  why I was going to go with a reverse mortgage and how it would release stress and problems for all trying to assist me in my older years. They have a 100% approval of my discussion.

After getting my certified signing Reverse Mortgage papers and getting my funds, I paid off all my debts, bought me a new van and banked the rest where I have access to the amount I choose and whenever I want. I only pay utilities. I have medical coverage from my retirement check, so I am able to save out from Social Security and retirement monies for homeowner insurance, property taxes and auto insurance and car tags each month for 12 months, with cash rolling over to next month’s incoming checks. I do not touch my reverse mortgage savings to pay these bills.

And my biggest thrill is to stay in my home of 46 years with my property, belongings and yard. This is what I worked hard to achieve.

I do not loan or give money to family or friends (my motto) “If you don’t have means to save it, you can’t pay it back.” This is to make my retirement a retirement.

If the older seniors don’t have funds saved for retirement, a reverse mortgage is a way to live stress free and happy.

You cannot take anything from this world when it is time to die. To live in misery and struggle to leave your belonging to our young adults is not retirement. But to each his own. If the average senior really thinks and looks at today’s younger generation, senior life is not what they want. They like apartments, fancy clothes, fast and fancy cars, latest technology items and restaurant meals. They only want to know where, when and how much for parent’s belongings and the property they can get. Every senior should enjoy their lives for years they worked and live to get to that point, and whatever they leave will just add to what younger people are working for. I chose a reverse mortgage and I am enjoying the benefits.
